We're here to help.
How do I log a medication?
Open MediU and tap the I took it button on any medication card on your home screen. The card will update to show a green "✓ Taken" badge. If you accidentally tap it, you have 10 minutes to tap Undo to reverse the log.
How do I add a medication?
Tap + Add Medication at the bottom of the home screen. Enter the medication name, set a time (or multiple times for medications taken more than once a day), and choose how long after the scheduled time you want to be reminded if you haven't logged it.
How do I edit or delete a medication?
Long-press any medication card on the home screen. A menu will appear with options to Edit medication or Delete medication. Editing lets you change the name, scheduled times, and reminder deadlines.
How do I connect with a partner?
Go to Settings → Partner → Your Invite Code and tap to generate a 6-character code. Share this code with your partner. They enter it in Settings → Partner → Enter Partner Code on their device. Once entered, you are linked — your partner becomes your observer.
What can my partner see?
Your partner (observer) can see your medication names, scheduled times, and whether you have logged each dose today. They can also send you emoji reactions (❤️ 👍 🎉 💪) when you log a dose. They cannot see your account settings or any historical data beyond today's logs.
How do partner notifications work?
When you log a dose, your partner receives a push notification. If you miss a dose past your set deadline, both you and your partner are notified — reminders repeat every 15 minutes until you log the dose. You can log directly from the notification by tapping I took it in the notification itself.
How does the voice reminder work?
After connecting as an observer, you are prompted to record a short voice message. When your partner misses a dose, your voice message plays on their device as part of the missed-dose alert. You can record or re-record this message at any time from Settings → Partner after linking.
How do I disconnect from my partner?
Go to Settings → Partner and tap Unlink. This immediately removes the connection. Your partner will no longer see your medications or receive notifications about your doses.
Why aren't I receiving push notifications?
Make sure MediU has notification permission enabled. Go to iOS Settings → MediU → Notifications and enable "Allow Notifications." Also ensure the app has been rebuilt or updated after you first granted permission.
How do I stop the missed-dose alarm?
Tap the notification and choose I took it, or open MediU and tap the button on the medication card. Either action logs your dose and cancels all pending missed-dose reminders for that medication today.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes all your medications, logs, and partner connections. A deletion timestamp is retained on your device record for compliance, but all personal data and medication information is removed. This cannot be undone.
I uninstalled the app. Is my data still on your servers?
Yes — because MediU uses a device identifier instead of an account, uninstalling does not automatically delete your data. Use Settings → Delete account before uninstalling to fully remove your data. If you no longer have access to the app, email us and we'll handle it manually.
Can I start fresh with a new account on the same device?
Yes. After deleting your account, reinstalling or going through onboarding again will create a completely new account with a new device identifier. Your old data is not recoverable.
How do I request deletion of my data without the app?
Email us at zwkdevvv@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and we'll remove your data manually.
Is MediU free?
Yes, MediU is completely free with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Is MediU a medical device?
No. MediU is a personal reminder and accountability tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions for your medications.
