Effective June 10, 2026
By downloading, installing, or using BapCal ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use BapCal.
BapCal is an iOS food journal app that lets you photograph your meals, add captions, and optionally share photos with a group of friends. BapCal is currently free to use.
BapCal does not require a traditional account or sign-in. A random device identifier is generated on first launch. You must be 13 years of age or older to use BapCal.
Because there is no sign-in, your data is tied to your device. If you uninstall the app without first deleting your account, your data may remain on our servers. Use Settings → Delete account to fully remove your data before uninstalling.
You retain ownership of all photos and captions you post to BapCal. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content solely to provide the features of the app — including showing your photos to group members you have chosen to share with.
You are responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that is:
Your use of BapCal is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. By using BapCal, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
The BapCal app, including its name, design, code, and branding, is our intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements. You retain ownership of any content you post.
BapCal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not liable for data loss resulting from service disruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BapCal and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to data loss or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, as BapCal is currently free, is zero).
You may stop using BapCal and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BapCal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the effective date above when changes are made.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
